Ceres Community Project

Ceres Community Project prepares and delivers organic meals to people facing serious health challenges while teaching local teens valuable skills in gardening, cooking, and nutrition. Since 2015, we have supported their nearby food production garden through ongoing donations of soil, compost, and mulch.

Point Blue Conservation Science – STRAW Program

Point Blue’s STRAW program gives K–12 students hands-on experience restoring local watersheds while learning scientific field skills. At our Stony Point Rock Quarry location, we partnered with STRAW and local schools to restore a drainage area flowing into Washoe Creek by removing invasive plants, installing protective fencing, and planting native species.

Sonoma County Career Technical Education Fund

The Sonoma County CTE Foundation supports career technical education programs that prepare students for skilled trades and technical careers. Since 2013, Soiland Materials has supported the foundation as a financial donor because we believe strong technical training programs are essential to our local workforce and economy.

Sonoma County Center for Climate Protection

The Sonoma Ecology Center focuses on protecting and restoring the natural ecosystems of Sonoma Valley through environmental education, habitat restoration, and climate resilience programs. We support the Ecology Center because and their work to protect the landscapes and watersheds that sustain our region.

Sonoma County Regional Parks

Sonoma County Regional Parks manages more than 50 parks and trails across the county. In 2015, we donated more than 300 tons of recycled aggregate base to help build a second entrance at Taylor Mountain Regional Park, improving public access with new parking areas, picnic space, and trail connections.

Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue

Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue rehabilitates injured and orphaned wildlife with the goal of returning animals to their natural habitat. We have supported their work through material donations, including recycled road base used to help construct a new educational barnyard focused on wildlife coexistence.

Fire Safe Sonoma

Fire Safe Sonoma works to reduce wildfire risk through education, defensible space programs, and community partnerships. Their work helps residents and land managers build more fire-resilient landscapes across Sonoma County. In addition to our aggregates, two of our organic materials have their Firewise designation – Clean Green Organic Compost and Organic Arbor Mulch.
